Ruby Kelly performs at debut headline show at The Ship Isis on the 15th of March.
Newly arrived to the North East music scene, Welsh artist, Ruby Kelly shows characteristics of acoustic Americana and Folk. Having supported The Levellers, The Futureheads and Ferocious Dog, the 22 year old prominently stands out as a newly discovered asset in the North East. Following her debut appearance at Beautiful Days in 2023, Ruby then attended Bearded Theory, Northern Kin and Summer Streets and has a busy year ahead!
Ruby Kelly released her first EP ‘King Of The World’ in 2021. Following its success, the Welsh songstress recently released her second EP ‘Something in the Water’, featuring single ‘St Elmo’ which North East magazine ‘The Crack’ featured in their November issue as the track of the month, describing it as ‘Rare talent’ and ‘A glorious slice of rabble-rousingAmericana’. The second track featured on her EP, ‘The Roots’, has pulled on the heartstrings of listeners with Adam Walton (BBC Radio Wales) describing it as ‘Poetry in between the words and music.’
