About this Event
Ruby Bridges is a civil rights icon who, at just six years old, became the first African American child to integrate all-white William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans. Her courage played a crucial role in the fight against segregation and has since become a symbol of resilience and the power of youthful determination to foster change. Her story is a profound reminder of the importance of standing up against injustice, no matter one's age.
In honor of Ruby Bridges, Boulder County's Mobility for All will be having a booking reading followed by a walk and talk around the museum discussing such things as what it means to be a hero. This event will be hosted by the Wow! Children's Museum where participants will get to enjoy a variety of games and tools that explore science, art, and culture.
Registration is free as is admission to the Wow! Museum.
