From their roots as jazz students at the University of Vermont, Kalmia Traver and Alex Toth have grown Rubblebucket into a genre-blending powerhouse, combining pop, funk, dance, and psychedelia into a sound that’s uniquely theirs. With performances from Bonnaroo to Glastonbury and collaborations with Arcade Fire and Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters, they’ve solidified themselves as one of indie music’s most dynamic forces.
Their latest album, Year of the Banana, is their grooviest and deepest work yet — an exploration of transformation and adaptation in relationships during these challenging times. A true testament to resilience and the power of connection, Year of the Banana was crafted with the support of "mediators, hypnotherapists, psycho-therapists, life coaches, business coaches, recovery groups, and guided hallucinogens."
And opening the night, CAPYAC – a mysterious and mesmerizing duo born from a legendary guacamole party in Austin, Texas.
