Plot summary:
Our play begins with the media not very happy that Theseus (a duke) is marrying Hippolyta (anyone remember the Meghan/Harry drama?) - but their wedding plans will have to take a backseat to a trio of bickering lovers:
Hermia loves Lysander,
Lysander loves Hermia,
But only Demetrius has permission to marry Hermia…
Oh, and Helena loves Demetrius!
🎶 Into the woods 🎶 they all end up only to be there at the same time as our feuding King (Oberon) and Queen (Titania) of the Fairies - love potions and mistaken identities ensue 🧚 🧪
Meanwhile, a theatre troupe of very enthusiastic artists are rehearsing a play, also in the woods, and might find themselves CHANGED 🫏 as a result of 🧚♂️ mischief
Plot twists, shape-shifting fairy royalty, and a hand-held smoothie maker all can be found in this classic!
