About this Event

RSD Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria

Date:27th May 2024

Time: 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Location: Oatlands Community Centre

Description: Join us for an insightful discussion onCome join us at the Oatlands Community Centre for a special event focusing on Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD).

Rejection sensitivity is a key element in the understanding and managment of neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD. It is less commonly associated with Autism, however, research suggests that RSD could be just as relevant for the autistic individual as it is for a person with ADHD.

This in-person gathering will provide a safe space come and learn about managing the challenges of RSD regardless of your neurodevelopmental diagnoses (official DX or not).
Whether you're personally affected by RSD or supporting someone who is, this event is for you. Connect with others who understand and gain valuable insights to navigate RSD more effectively.
We will cover a range of topics including;

  • The impact of RSD in childhood (schooling, social and family life).
  • The importance of understanding this relatively unknown but potentially life altering aspect of being neurodivergent.
  • How our experience of RSD shapes our self esteem and self narrative.
  • Long term effects/ potential dangers of unidentified RSD.
  • And strategies we may use to help work with our neurology to manage the effects of RSD.
    Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn, share, and manage this often debilitating aspect of neurodivergence, together.
    Hope to see you there.
