RS Teen Retreat

We teach our children to walk, to swim, and to look both ways...now it’s time to teach them the importance of maintaining healthy relationships and other essential life skills.

Facilitated by Amy and Dr. Charles Miron, teens explore the complexity of the often-conflicting feelings and messages that naturally arise in peer relationships. At the core of this program are open and honest discussions about relationship dynamics, sex, emotional and physical safety.

After participating in the retreat, teens report that the topics and questions they explored positively impacted their life decisions.

Amy and Dr. Charles Miron, a Baltimore-based husband and wife team, are sexuality and relationship educators and certified sex therapists who have been working in the field of sexuality for more than three decades. They are the co-authors of How To Talk With Teens About Love, Relationships, and S-E-X: A Guide for Parents. The Mirons team-teach college courses along with facilitating sexuality education retreats and workshops for parents and teens. Always respectful of diverse family values, their relaxed and entertaining style quickly puts both parents and teens at ease in this difficult area. The Mirons have appeared on numerous television and radio programs and their friendly faces have been found on the pages of many publications.

For what ages is this retreat appropriate?

This program is specifically tailored for any grade 9-12 students. Teens are welcome to invite a friend to register and join them. Siblings can and have attended together with comfort.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Friday 5:00-5:30pm drop-off and Sunday afternoon pick-up is at the American Jewish University, Familian Campus: 15600 Mulholland Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90077

What will I need to bring to the event?

Once registered, we will be in touch with a recommended packing list.

What's the refund policy?

Your teen's participation is what makes this retreat possible. Last-minute cancellations will not be refunded with the exception of extenuating circumstances. Cancellations received after September 15, 2021 will incur a $100 administrative fee.
