Our courses have been approved by the Institute of Outdoor learning (meeting the requirements of all the major outdoor National Governing Bodies) and are suitable for outdoor professionals, holders of professional outdoor qualifications including; DofE assessors, Forest school / scout leaders and those with an interest in the outdoors or who work in remote areas.A range of outdoor First Aid related subjects are covered including: • First Aid Equipment • Assessment of the situation • Prioritising treatment • Environmental factors • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty • Bandaging • Moving a casualty • Shock (including Anaphylaxis) • Fractures and spinal injuries • Heart attacks • Choking • Control of bleeding • Head injuries • Eye injuries • Poisoning • Chest injuries • Abdominal injuries • Sprains and strains • Burns and scalds • Asthma • Diabetes • Epilepsy • Hypothermia • Frostbite • Heat exhaustion • Bites and stings • Minor injuries
Individual Cost - £130 which includes registration, first aid manual and certification (valid for 3 years).
If you only require the Emergency Outdoor First Aid Qualification (8 hrs / 1 day) you can simply attend day one.
