May is Mental Health Awareness Month
Rice Properties Group is partnering with NAMI Northern Virginia to raise donations in support of mental health!
The goal of this Fun Run is to be healthy, have fun, and to raise funds for Mental Health! We encourage additional donations at the link below.
100% of the proceeds will be donated to NAMI. This year we will also be adding a catered BBQ lunch from Willard's BBQ and awesome prizes to raffle prices!
This year's Fun Run/Walk/5K/BBQ will be hosted at ALGONKIAN REGIONAL PARK - SHELTER 1.
DETAILS:
FIRST 100 REGISTRANTS ARE GUARANTEED AN ELITE RACE T-SHIRT IN THEIR SIZE.
The course will be mapped out and marked with flags so our runners are aware of the designated running area. Water and snacks will be provided at the finish line.
Check-In: 9:15-9:45 AM
5K Start Time: 10:00 AM
Run End Time: 11:00 AM
Willard's BBQ to Follow Immediately After Race
Not quite ready to run a full 5K? That is A-OK! We want everyone to feel like they can participate, regardless of their fitness level. There are plenty of other things you can enjoy, such as adult and kid centered activities as well as food! Everyone that registers will get an awesome T-Shirt and a medal.
Registrants ages 12 & Under are FREE.
NAMI Northern Virginia and its volunteers work together to raise awareness and provide education, advocacy, and support programs for people living with mental illness.
If you choose to donate, 100% of the proceeds from this Fun Run will go to local non-profit organization NAMI Northern Virginia.

"Mental Health awareness is a subject that I am very passionate about because for many years, I have struggled through mental illness personally: depression, anxiety, and the fear of failure. I am grateful that I have overcome these hurdles in my life through transparency, accepting my vulnerability, and crushing the powerful stigma that still exist for those dealing with mental illness. You are not alone in your mental struggles. My goal is to provide hope, acceptance, and respect to those dealing with mental health issues, and inspire those coping with their personal struggles."
