Ever wanted to learn how to make your own royal icing? Or maybe you've tried and it didn't go exactly how you planned? 😉
Come learn the basic of royal icing with Just Add Cookies! In this 3-hour, beginner-level class, we'll cover the basics of royal icing AND decorate an adorable set of cookies with the icing you make in class!
Class includes
- A detailed, step-by-step demonstration of making royal icing (from scratch) using meringue powder and a stand mixer - with lots of tips, tricks, and ingredient recommendations!
- Hands-on instruction for you to make four different consistencies of royal icing in class
- Step-by-step guidance on coloring your royal icing
- Using the royal icing that YOU mixed to decorate a set of five cookies with step-by-step instructions
🎟️ Each ticket gets you one seat in the class--with an enthusiastic, experienced COOKIE COACH, plus a big batch of royal icing for you to mix and color in class, Vanilla Bean cookies, and all the tools necessary to knock this cookie class out of the park! All that's needed is YOU. 💕
This class is on Sun, Oct 13th, from 1:00-4:00pm, at the Roy Smith Shelterhouse at Fred Fuller Park in Kent, OH (601 Middlebury Rd, Kent, OH 44240). Please arrive at least a few minutes early, so we have all the time we need to mix things up, decorate, and answer questions along the way. Bring your favorite form of (non-alcoholic) hydration with you--we're gonna' work hard! Don't worry--we will take a short break in the middle of class. 🥰
This class is open to those ages 10 and up. Those aged 10-15 must be accompanied by a responsible 16+ cookie buddy. Anyone planning to be present will need their own ticket for the class. This class is not for those with extensive or professional royal icing experience. We love our newbies!
You'll leave class with all your extra icing, delicious cookies you decorated yourself AND several cool techniques we'll cover in class! More details on refunds, things to bring, credits, and FAQs are below--looking forward to having you with us!
