Roustabout Theater’s Intimate Revival of Harold Pinter’s The Homecoming Explores Family, Power and Desire
A searing masterpiece of modern theater, The Homecoming returns to the stage in a riveting new production that features beloved North Bay actors in this provocative drama by Nobel Prize–winning playwright Harold Pinter.
Set in 1960’s North London, The Homecoming explores how an unexpected family reunion spirals into a tense and witty psychological battle, as shifting alliances and unspoken desires transform the household. Through razor-sharp dialogue and unexpected humor, Pinter draws audiences into a world where every pause speaks volumes.
Celebrated for its daring themes and uncompromising vision, The Homecoming won the Tony Award for Best Play and remains one of the defining works of twentieth-century drama. Roustabout’s dynamic Ensemble promises a memorable theatrical event as it questions the roles we perform within our own families.
Performances are June 13 – 28 at The Luther Burbank Center for the Arts where Roustabout Theater is Resident Theater Company.
Roustabout Theater is the longest running Resident Theater at the LBC offering both our Professional Ensemble performances utilizing professional talent from across the Bay Area and our award-winning Apprentice Program, a leading training program for actors and stage managers ages 11 – 20.
