Historic Texas plants and flowers will be in the spotlight at the Round Rock Garden Club meeting on Monday, November 3. The speaker will be Sylvia Forbes. She is a member of the club and has served as an educational director at a botanical garden and a seasonal interpreter at several national parks, among other roles she has held working with nature and plants. Anybody interested in plants and history is sure to enjoy this presentation. The meeting starts at 9 a.m. on Monday, November 3, in the Grand Room at the Allen R. Baca Center, 301 West Bagdad Avenue. The garden club welcomes all visitors. There is no charge to attend the meeting, but those who are not members of the Baca Center pay a $1 fee to the Baca Center. The club serves a potluck breakfast and coffee, free to visitors and members. Information about joining the club is available at the meetings.
