Name: Round Colwick Run - in aid of WellChild

"Round Colwick Run" is a 14 km (~9 mile) group trail run taking advantage of some of the fantastic off-road routes we have nearby.
The route includes 3 separate sections of mature woodland, a section by the river Trent, Netherfield Lagoons nature reserve, and towards the end you'll get some amazing views from Colwick woods over the Trent valley and central Nottingham.
The idea is to meet at the carpark by Colwick Hall and set off at 10:30 am. Depending on how many people take part, we'll likely split into a few groups so people can enjoy the scenery at their own pace. I'm happy to go with whoever is at the back so don't worry about being "slow" - this isn't a race!
The route is circular so we'll finish where we started and have the option to catch up with a trip to The Starting Gate for food and drink.
As part of the event I'd love to raise some money for WellChild, with whom I'm lucky enough to be running the Berlin marathon later this year - any donations would be gratefully received!

This isn't a big event with marshals or waypoint signs. Ideally each group will have one or more people able to follow the route on either their phone or watch. Let me know ahead of time if you want any help with this - it will help hugely if people set this up in advance.
