Rouge Manouche é um quarteto de Gypsy Jazz residenteno Algarve que apresenta um swing altamente enérgico e
ritmado e inspirado em ritmos e melodias Manouche com
influências do Jazz Americano imergindo na aura da
Paris dos anos 30. Interpretam compositores como os
míticos Django Reinhardt, Charles Trenet ou Cole Porter,
assim como em repertório de tradição Gypsy Jazz mais
moderno.
É formado por Betty Martins na voz e violino, João
Campos Palma no acordeão, Luis Fialho na guitarra e
Luis Henriqueno contrabaixo.
Rouge Manouche is a Gypsy Jazz Quartet located in the
Algarve, they perform an energetic and highly rhythmic
kind of swing and get inspiration from the gypsy melodies
and rhythms with the influences of American jazz steeped
in the aura of 1930s Paris, playing composers such as
the mythical Django Reinhardt, Charles Trenet or Cole
Porter, and also some more modern Gypsy Jazz
repertoire.
The quartet has Betty Martins on vocals and violin, João
Campos Palma on accordion, Luis Fialho on guitar and
Luis Henrique on the doublebass.
