Greek black metal pioneers ROTTING CHRIST will embark on a journey to Australia & NZ for the first time in over a decade supported by and introducing US death groove giants JUNGLE ROT!The group will be celebrating their 35 years of existence.
The band will perform songs from their entire catalogue since 1988 in the cities of; Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne (Melbourne Dethfest 2024), Hobart, Adelaide and Auckland.
Rotting Christ has stood on the forefront of European black metal torch bearers since 1987 releasing some of the most important albums in heavy metal history including Non Serviam, Thy Mighty Contract, Rituals, The Heretics, Sanctus Diavolos (of their 13 studio albums) via labels Osmose, Century Media and Season of Mist
After 10 years of allowing the seas to settle in Australia, the Greek megaliths will once again bring their brand of black metal to Australia in May 2024:

ROTTING CHRIST BIOGRAPHY
ROTTING CHRIST were founded by Sakis Tolis and his brother Themis in the year 1987.
Starting out on a basis of death and grind, the Greeks had already embarked on a darker musical journey by the time their debut full-length ‘Thy Mighty Contract’ (1993) was revealed. On the following seven albums covering a ten-year period from 'Non Serviam' (1994) to 'Sanctus Diavolos' (2004), ROTTING CHRIST steadily defined their own distinct style by experimenting with elements from death, heavy, and gothic metal without betraying their black roots.
At the same time, the band went from underground heroes to headliner status. With the highly acclaimed ninth album, 'Theogonia' (2007), the Greek stalwarts added an unmistakable native element to their sound, which has remained with them as a signature trademark ever since. Exploring the mythical legacy of cultures around the globe let to ROTTING CHRIST's massively successful latest release, 'Rituals' (2016).
With more than 30 years, 14 studio albums, a dozen EPs, singles and split releases, as well as more than 1.250 shows under their belt, 2018 marked the year of 'Their Greatest Spells' (2018), where they musically revisited their exciting legacy to connect their past with the present.
JUNGLE ROT BIOGRAPHY
Since 1992, Jungle Rot have garnered a large and loyal following of fans across the globe in this time.
Delivering a punitive blend of old-school thrash metal, death metal, crossover and crust punk; the group are known to integrate slow stomping melodies into their old school brand of extreme metal.
Jungle Rot have never tried to be the goriest or most technical band in the extreme metal underground, but instead have focused on flowing grooves and infectiously catchy song writing.
After three decades, 10 full length albums and an EP, released through respected labels including Century Media and Victory Records, Jungle Rot completed their latest album during 2020.
Recently signing with Unique Leader Records in 2021 the band have since released their 11th studio album "A Call To Arms", in May 2022!
