Rules and Regulations1. Certification: This is a USBC certified event, open to adult bowlers. All USBC rules and regulations shall apply. All entrants must be current USBC members.
2. Averages: Use highest 2023-24 avg. of 21 games or more. If none, then use the highest current 2024-25 avg. of 21 games or more. If none, then the bowler will use a 225 avg. There will be no 10-pin rule for this event. All averages will be verified prior to the start of the tournament. If a bowler has a standard average and a sport average, the standard average shall be used. If a bowler must use his/her sport average, their average shall be adjusted using the USBC Sport Conversion Chart.
3. Entry Deadline: Preregistration ends one (1) day prior to the tournament date. If you have not preregistered, you will be considered a walk-in entry. See Entry Fee for difference in cost.
4. Handicap: Handicap will be 80% of 225 average.
5. Format: Bowlers will randomly draw a lane assignment, the other bowler that draws the matching lane assignment will be partners. All bowlers will complete six (6) games of qualifying across twelve (12) lanes, skipping, or moving, lanes after each game. The number of entries determines the finals. 1:4 teams will advance to the bracket finals. The seeds will be determined based off qualifying. If there is a tie in seeding, the better seed will go to the team that bowled a higher handicap game during qualifying. This tiebreaker also goes towards determining who gets into the finals, in case there is a tie for the final advancing spot after qualifying. Depending on the number of teams in the finals, top qualifying teams may get a bye.
6. Payouts, Entry Fee, and Breakdown: Payout ratio is 1:4. Entry fee for a preregistered bowler is $60, even if paying the day of the event. Entry fee for a walk-in bowler is $65. A walk-in bowler is someone who did not preregister prior to the day of the event. $18 lineage/$2 admin fee/$5 awards/$35 prize fund ($40 for walk-in entries). Pre-payments for this tournament are cash only. No online payments will be accepted.
7. Optional side pots: There will be optional $5 individual brackets, $20 high game, $20 individual sweeper. All side pot offerings will be handicap and scratch. Handicap will be 80% of 225.
8. Tournament Authority: The Tournament Host will have final say in all disputes, rules not covered here, or rules not covered by the USBC. The tournament director reserves the right to re-rate any bowler for any reason.
