Ross Ainslie is a giant of Scottish trad:folk, and arguably Scotland's top piper. With a very versatile output, Ross recently played alongside Cypress Hill + even went viral playing for Snoop Dog at Edinburgh Airport; he can be heard on umpteen new Netflix productions, and has recently completed his 6th solo album (Pool)!! Ross has played regularly with legends such as Duncan Chisolm and Dougie Maclean, bands such as Salsa Celtica, Session A9, Treacherous Orchestra and Grit Orchestra, and often plays with Ali Hutton, Jarlath Henderson, Hamish Napier, Brighde Chaimbeul, and of course Tim Edey…
Tim Edey, needs little introduction to our audiences; he is a folk club legend, annually touring extensively throughout the UK and Ireland, with further jaunts far beyond these shores. He is an absolute musical genius, playing recently with Carlos Núñez, Natalie McMaster, Mike McGoldrick, Paddy Keenan and Dermot Byrne and Ross Ainslie. He is an all round nice chap with great craic!
Over the past 20 years Tim and Ross have often played and gigged together and last year released their album, Diad, which was in the shortlist for Album of the year in 2023.
