? CHARITY GAME ANNOUNCEMENT! ?The Nottingham Knights will be holding a FREE charity game on Sunday 26th May to raise money for the neonatal units at the Nottingham Hospitals, in memory of Rosie Rita Perkins.
Earlier this year, one of our team members sadly lost their beautiful daughter, after being born premature at 24 weeks old.
Ryan Perkins and his partner, Leanne, were told throughout the labour that babies born at 24 weeks have 1/6 chance of surviving the birth and they needed to prepare for the worst.
Rosie not only survived the birth she had an abnormally long period of stability during her first week of life - she truly was a fighter! ❤
Now, Ryan and Leanne have a target of raising £10k for the whole year (they've already hit over 5k in 10 days!!!)... which means they can provide a Miniboo for every family at City and QMC hospitals.
Miniboos are primarily used with preterm babies to help the baby smell mummy/daddy, when mummy/daddy cannot always hold the baby at this difficult time. They are used as bonding aids within developmental care on neonatal and special care baby units!!
