Support act: + Sofa King
Sunday 26th Sept 2021
Rosie Tee is a composer/performer who forges an innovative, atmospheric blend of electronica, jazz and avant-pop amongst the industrial backdrop of the UK's second city. Within a synth-heavy sound, crystalline vocals meander between dark, forceful beats and fragile melodic contours. Colour and image are at the centre of her lyrical writing, depicting imagined scenes and scenarios.
Rosie collaborates closely with her quartet, featuring a line-up of vocals & glockenspiel, offkilter synths (Piera Onacko), swarming bass (Dan Cippico) and textural drums (Kai Chareunsy). Together, they ebb and flow between digital and analogue worlds, most at home on the stage of their intoxicating live performances.
Following a writing residency in the Welsh mountains, the band will be bringing brand new, unheard material to share for the first time!
Support from Sofa King:
As we enter the final days of the Sofa King project Dianne is entering a strange, desperate, and frantic space.
Having less and less to prove by the day, the self confessed pop obsessed transgender individual is dedicated to creating an overwhelming, impermanent experience that relies on the interaction between physical space and its resonances (musical and emotional) as she fights for her life against a collection of synths. Twisting knobs and pushing buttons, Dianne is hitting a new stride of welcoming abrasiveness, she might even sing a song for you.
