The Rosie Caine Trio joins us to celebrate St. Patrick’s week at the ICC on Thursday, March 20 from 6–9 pm. After studying law at UCD, she changed course for a singing career at the beginning of Irish cultural tourism. She was recruited by Tommy Makem to come to the US to perform and tour in 1972 in The Burren Flora. She never went back to Ireland. Rosie and her husband Howard are committed community participants in the Pioneer Valley.
Rosie’s life as a songwriter and composer started after she took up the Irish Harp in 1998. She has written, produced and collaborated on five Irish themed musicals, and founded Wilde Irish Women in 2002. She is also the founding member and leader of Wilde Women Shenanigans, an offshoot of Wilde Irish Women.
