When it comes to putting a tune to the dancing steps, there is no better choice than Rosie and The Jammers. This upbeat six-piece act has been a staple at local events and festivals for twenty-two (23) years and is known just as much for their great showmanship as their talent and is always a crowd favorite. Three people that were instrumental in giving the band their professional start were Bill & Deb Marano and Rose Mary Hagadus. Rosie and The Jammers was formed for the very first Johnstown Polkafest in 1997 when asked to play by Bill & Deb. Rosie and Rosemary first met while Rosie was playing her button box at a Garden Tour Fundraiser for the Johnstown Symphony. Rosemary stopped to ask questions about the button box. During that conversation Rosemary asked Rosie if she and her band would like to play at the Log House Arts Festival Labor Day weekend. That was 23 years ago, and the band has been a staple at the festival and within the community ever since. The Community Arts Center of Cambria County (CACCC) is proud to present its 10th season of the Coffee House Series. The outstanding response from the community for the Coffee Houses inspired the Community Arts Center to host six indoor/outdoor musical events in this year’s series. They will be taking place outdoors on CACCC’s Amphitheatre or indoors in the main space gallery of the Goldhaber-Fend Fine Arts Center building. Coffee Houses are offered with free admission and open to the public, although donations are encouraged. 50% of these donations go to the featured performers. The Coffee House Series will be providing coffees, teas, and delicious baked goods for purchase during the event.
