In the fall, the RCB will perform a very special Commission Concert to premiere a newly composed piece of music in honor of their founder and former director, John Zschunke. The concert will be played on November 16, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Apple Valley. Currently, the piece is being written by world-renowned composer Jodie Blackshaw, a native of Australia. Additionally, the Minnesota Symphonic Winds from Edina will join the RCB for this concert.The RCB is still raising funds for the Commission Project through their GoFundMe at: https://www.gofundme.com/f/fund-RCB-commissioning-project .
