Artists are invited to apply to join the line-up using the following form. Deadline to apply is the end of July 7th. Artists who are selected will share a split of the ticket sales and tips. About Jaqq and Griffin
Jaqq Strapp (he/they) is a regrettably American, unapologetically queer Black/mixed-race teacher, cunning linguist, cum-median, wannabe writer and the first-winner-turned-co-producer of Slag Race. Their interests include Tina Belcher-twerking his flat, hairy pancake ass to songs that shouldn’t be twerked to, rolling his eyes at white guilt, reading, watching movies, sightseeing, photography, long walks and indulging in his Champagne tastes despite his beer bottle pockets. They can be followed @jaqqstrapp.
Griffin Payne (they/them/any pronouns) contains multitudes. With roots in southern Louisiana and the mountains of western North Carolina, Griffin is a queer poet, performer, troublemaker and misfit now based in Tiohtià:ke / Montréal. They are a former teaching artist and mental health worker who now lip-syncs for their life in late-stage capitalism as a freelance community development consultant and researcher, supporting community organizations and funders of community work that are trying to make the world a better place. When not selling their labor, Griffin loves to sing, make silly jokes, moonlight as a back-up dancer, or just be Jaqq Strapp’s furniture whenever he needs to take a load off.
