About this Event

Pre-registration is requested for Green Kirkland events.

Volunteers will help restore critical habitat by removing invasive plants such as blackberry or ivy, planting native plants, and pitching-in with stewardship tasks like mulching and weeding. With your help, this park will have healthy and thriving natural areas for years to come!

All experience levels and ages are welcome following the safety and event guidelines (see below). Tools and training are provided. Events are 100% outdoors and occur rain or shine!

This event is led by Green Kirkland Steward Brad.

For general information about what to expect at Green Kirkland events visit the 'About Volunteering' page on our website at www.greenkirkland.org.

The completed Youth & Individual Service Agreement form should be presented to the Green Kirkland Steward hosting the event—hard copy or proof of electronic submission is acceptable.

Stinging Insects:

All of Green Kirkland's restoration sites are in natural areas, and stinging insects such as wasps may be active, especially from May - October. Though we do our best to check sites prior to events for any hazards, volunteers may encounter stinging insects. Please take proper precautions if you know you're allergic (carry an anaphylaxis kit issued by your doctor) and alert your event host of any concerns.
