Our October and November Rose Hill Cemetery walking tours are back! Join us for a unique walking tour of Rose Hill Cemetery on October 18, October 31, and November 8.
Rose Hill Cemetery Executive Director, Colleen Rafferty, will share stories of unsolved mysteries, front-page tragedies, and other untimely deaths of those buried at Rose Hill. Colleen might even share experiences her staff and visitors have encountered if the group is up for it since this tour is on Halloween!
This special tour will take place from 10:00 pm - 12:00 am on Halloween! A special drink (non-alcoholic) and dessert will be served in the Mausoleum
Tour Dates and Times include the following:
- Saturday, October 18, from 6:00-8:00 PM (Ticket proceeds from this date support the kinship Family Heritage Research Center.)
- Friday, October 31, from 6:00-8:00 PM
- Friday, October 31, from 10:00 PM-12:00 AM (A special late-night Halloween tour!)
- Saturday, November 8, from 6:00-8:00 PM
Check-In & Parking
Gather inside Rose Hill Cemetery's front gate 15 minutes prior to your tour time to check-in. Parking inside the gate is limited, but more parking is available along S. Potomac Street.
Terrain
Walking tours mainly take place along paved routes through the cemetery, which are wheelchair accessible. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Please note lighting is limited in the cemetery so bring a flashlight if desired. We will be entering the Mausoleum along the route which is not wheelchair accessible. The walk is approximately 1 mile and we will be stopping along the way.
