The Lubbock Coalition of Democrats invites you to join our Rosa Parks Black Voter Dinner & Community Soul Food Potluck on February 4, 2025. This will be a community potluck held in a spacious community room where everyone can come together to enjoy delicious Soul Food and learn more about what’s happening for Black voters in our neighborhoods.Local community groups will be showcasing a variety of soul food dishes and while filing your stomach, Black voters can get informed, as we’ll hear speakers from local community group, and about how you can get involved. And here’s a fun addition: we’ll run a poll asking participants about their favorite potluck dishes and have a small ceremony to award prizes for the top three dishes!
Eastside Legend Ms. Phyllis Gant will be our dinner's keynote speaker who will inspire and motivate us during this evening of food for the mind and soul as well as the stomach.
$5 at the door get you in. Proceeds raised help fund our efforts to support Black candidates in Lubbock. A big part of our mission is to give back, so half of all the proceeds go to the East Lubbock Art House, a wonderful organization that enhances our community's culture and spirit.
