The Rory Gallagher Festival UK (Nantwich) has been in existence since 2011.Can you believe that it all started with a bet? I was challenged by the then landlord of the Star Inn Nantwich to organise a band for an outdoor music event (his birthday I think). I ended up getting 4 bands, and a sound engineer who had all the gear, guess what… They all played Rory Gallagher’s music. That was Nantwich 1, what a great day that was, We knew that from this day forward it would be repeated every year from then on, and we are proud to say that it has continued to grow.
Where are we now?
During 2022 with the closure of the usual venue we had time to think how we could make the Festival experience even better in 2023 and how to lift the Festival to its next level. We are pleased to say that It turned out to be a great success, the new venue proved to be ideal. Therefore going forward we are hosting the Festival at the Nantwich Civic Hall
The Festival is now in its 14th year and is being run In association with RoryWeb Promotions, Nantwich Civic Hall & Nigel Humphreys.
