RoR Showing & Jumping Club Afternoon at the British Racing School! You asked, I listened and we're holding a showing sessions!
This Club Afternoon will include two 1 hour sessions for showing and ring craft - which is ideal to get your horse used to being in an arena with other horses for the class 'go around', as well as how best to show off your horse, utilise your space e.g. going into your corners on the go around to allow extra space from the horse in front, as well as practicing how best to trot up and stand up your horse for the conformation judge.
We'll also be holding our normal jumping sessions later in the afternoon, using poles and jumps to do 'gymnastic' exercises (Grids, Raised Poles, Jumps on different angles) to get horses engaging their cores, flexing through their frame, stretching through their backs and overall, a good body work out using pole grids, raised poles, cross poles and jumps the arena.
Taught by Jody Sole at The British Racing School, in their large outdoor arena, in Newmarket.
Jody has shown at HOYS, Hickstead, Royal Windsor and other tops shows, as well as being an RoR judge himself who was the Royal Windsor RoR judge last year so overall he is very knowledgeable at showing and great to give you tips and help on what a judge is looking for when showing both from the ground and as a rider.
Later sessions will also have jumps included, nothing huge but will include jumps and working on jumping technique.
Sessions are open to all levels of horses however the earlier sessions are more for novice or less experienced horses.
There are 4 available slots in each session. Please ensure that you book the session appropriate to what you want to do.
