RoR Northern Groundwork Day Clinic with Emma Chapman at Cowling Hill, DL8 1RR11th October 2025
What to expect:
Groundwork Clinic - 2 sessions (1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon) in small groups.
Offering members a chance to develop horsemanship skills, and to understand your horse and their behaviour whilst offering support to educate yourself on how to move forwards with any issues you may be experiencing.

Emma's Bio:
I am a Western riding instructor and Natural horse trainer based in Bedale, North Yorkshire.
I train a range of horses here at my yard specialising in retraining racehorses, we work with horses from all backgrounds and offer a whole horse approach to retraining, starting from groundwork up, making sure lines of communication are clear and relaxed throughout. I aim to create a willing guided partner in my ROR through body control exercises and training, looking for soft and relaxed movements and answers to my emails, this moulds a horse who can excel in whichever discipline they aim for.
I’ve competed nationally in western riding with my ex race horses as well as performing at various demos and displays promoting the retrained racehorse.
I performed at both ROR showcases with Midnight Robbery in a western riding display as well as a natural horsemanship demo.
