ROPE RESCUE OPERATIONS-LEVEL Training Class follows NFPA 1006: Standard for Technical Rescue Personnel Professional Qualifications, Chapter 5.2 (Operations level). This program begins with a classroom session, and moves to and is mostly hands-on. Skill stations teach fundamental rope skills that will cover knot tying, rope systems, hardware and devices, mechanical advantages, anchoring, safety belays, patient packaging, hauling, lowering and more. Skill stations will progress to scenario-based evolutions where students will demonstrate the proficiencies that have been learned.Training Schedule:
Sunday, February 16 at 8am
Monday, February 17 at 6pm
Tuesday, February 18 at 6pm
Wednesday, February 19 at 6pm
Saturday, February 22 at 8am
Sunday, February 23 at 8am
Prerequisites -
Students should know the following knots: Figure 8 on a Bight, Figure 8, Figire 8 follow through, Prusiks Hitch, Alpine Butterfly, Water Knot (webbing), Bowline, Scaffold
