About this Event
This class will cover how to tie several common knots and frictions used in rope practice. This will include a review of a somerville bowline for a non-collapsing single column, half hitch, munter/nodome hitch, X-friction, and L-frictions. We will also learn a couple options for how to join rope.
‼️IMPORTANT MAKE SURE YOU READ‼️
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN ROPE. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE ENOUGH STOCK FOR EVERYONE. The instructor will NOT bring rope to share. There will be limited MFP rope for purchase for $14.99.
The class format will include instruction with practice time in between each new skill. Be prepared to move around! Direct class teaching and practice will be the first 90 minutes with 30 minutes at the end for independent practice and questions.
Seating accommodations can be provided if needed - just ask staff upon arrival.
