About this Event
In the first of the Rootstock Sessions, farmers and industry stakeholders will be brought together to engage in a dynamic discussion focused on the resilience and challenges faced by dairy farmers today.
As part of the build up to Rootstock – Devon’s Future Farming Conference taking place on Thursday 6 February 2025 – this event is brought to you through a collaboration between the Rootstock team at the Devon County Agricultural Association, the Devon Agri Tech Alliance (run by Devon County Council), and Forum for the Future. This event has been designed to give dairy farmers a chance to discuss and share their views and insights on the future of the dairy industry in the county.
The discussions will feed into The Future of Dairy project, run by the charity Forum For the Future. The aim of the project is to help create a more resilient UK dairy industry that can withstand financial, environmental, and social challenges.
A panel will kick off proceedings to highlight trends and innovative practices in sustainable farming as well as challenges. Facilitated discussions will then provide attendees the opportunity to share personal experiences and solutions, fostering a collaborative environment for problem-solving.
Lunch and refreshments provided.
