About this Event
Join us at Doncaster Gallery, Library and Museum for the Roots to Renewal Community Fashion Show, where we’ll proudly display the amazing work created as part of this exciting project. From upcycled garments to beautifully naturally dyed and printed fabrics, you’ll see firsthand the vivid colours we’ve harnessed from nature and the variety of plants we’ve used—many of which grow in the natural colour garden we established together in the Gallery’s outdoor space back in June.
Our workshops have thoughtfully woven together the entire creative journey—from growing dye plants, connecting deeply with nature, to using those dyes in fabric printing and bringing second-hand garments back to life through upcycling. This has created unique, sustainable pieces that showcase skill, creativity, and environmental awareness.
The fashion show will take place on Saturday 8th November at DGLAM. Doors open at 1pm for the audience, with the show starting promptly at 1:30pm. After the runway, we invite you to explore our displays and chat with the Roots to Renewal team about the project, our workshops, and future ambitions.
