Tree GiveawayCarry On the Tradition
An estimated one million trees were planted
during the first Arbor Day, held in Nebraska in
1872. Trees are essential to the air we breathe,
the water we drink, and the world we love.
In Alabama, Arbor Day is officially
celebrated during the last full week of
February as Arbor Week, a time chosen
for optimal tree planting conditions.
Plant a tree and help shape a healthier, greener future for your community.
We wanted to team up with the Alabama Forestry Commission and The Decatur Daily because Rotary tree-planting initiatives are a core component of our environmental focus, aimed at fighting climate change and supporting ecological sustainability.
