Lindy or Ron (Gypsy Pickers) host Open Mic at the Roots Bar, Takaka. Bring your songs, instruments and dancing shoes for a fun and entertaining evening. Or just come along for a social and enjoy the music of talented locals and travelers. Starts 8.30 pm. Everyone welcome! Songs about stars or Matariki welcome!Roots Bar Open Mics are on every 3rd Thursday of the month over winter, but we decided to go with Matariki Thursday for June so we can all celebrate on Thursday and then sleep in the next day, seeing as Friday is a public holiday :)
