About this Event
Roots and Wings
Grounded in Heritage, Growing in Scholarship
The Faculty of Society and Culture in conjunction with Sisters in Higher Education Network (S.HI.NE) is inviting you to join us for an engaging, fun and thought-provoking workshop focused on optimising diversity within our institution - not just in theory, but in practice.
Together, we will explore:
- Theoretical frameworks underpinning inclusive academic environments.
- Practical strategies for embedding inclusive practices in teaching and student support.
- Collaborative discussions on challenges and opportunities presented by diverse populations in HE.
Whether you're already active in diversity or inclusion work, just beginning to explore how you can contribute, or looking for collaborative strategies, this workshop offers a space to learn, reflect, and co-create a more inclusive academic environment. Let’s move beyond policy and into practice, together.
This workshop is open to all colleagues, though registration is required.
Speakers:
Dr Lucy Currie and Dr Hellmuth Weich
