About this Event
In the quiet stretch between holidays, when the world slows + everything feels a little more tender: we gather. “Rooted” is for anyone seeking steadiness, connection, + a moment to breathe amidst the season’s swirl.
With movement led by Betsy Abernethy, a daughter of Duluth’s wintry charm visiting from the dry desert, we move through fluid shapes + gentle meditation that open small portals of inner exploration.
Mckenzie Whelan closes the practice with grounding breathwork that invites you to root into your body + remember the subtle threads that tie us to one another. This is not just a yoga class; it is a space to soften into presence, move with intention, + feel the quiet pull of togetherness that this time of year awakens.
This event is hosted by Neptune Works--otherworldly events, based in Phoenix, AZ.
Expect a curated atmosphere that has gravitational pull.
Inside the Sanctuary of the stunning Spirit of the Lakes Community Arts building in Lakeside, native Duluthian Betsy Abernethy (@betsyogini) returns to her roots to share the art of yoga she has learned through a life of travel and years in practice. Holding the Duluth yoga community close to her heart, Betsy, along with McKenzie (@highvibrationhelath), hope to provide a portal of peace during the buzzing holiday season.
This event will provide a candlelit ceremony with cinnamon tea, a nostalgic playlist, and heart-opening movement. Integrate the intensive practice with breath and stillness through a guided breathwork session.
Bring a yoga mat and a loved one, or come on your own. A sweatshirt or blanket and socks for savasana/breathwork may help you feel extra cozy. Restrooms and parking on site.
