About Marc Brewer
As seen on America’s Got Talent, Marc Brewer is a globally renowned Afro-Latin dance instructor, performer, choreographer, and judge, based in Michigan, USA. Certified through Broadway Dance Center’s elite training program and in 9 American-style competitive ballroom dances, Marc specializes in Afro-Latin styles, with extensive experience in Salsa, Bachata, Brazilian Zouk, Kizomba, and Dancesport Cabaret.
A decorated competitor, Marc holds multiple world championship titles, including 1st place at the International Bachata Fusion Championship (Spain) and Ultimate Latin Dance Championship (Las Vegas). He has also been featured in Janet Jackson’s music video “Made For Now”, which garnered over 62 million views on YouTube.
Marc’s talent has earned him numerous accolades, including the Fujairah Latin Festival’s “Best Show Award” and the Toronto Bachata Congress “Director’s Choice Award.” He has judged prestigious international competitions and taught workshops across the globe, from Tokyo and Sydney to Paris and Moscow. Marc is also an owner and instructor at Detroit Dance Loft.
About Rose
Rose Turuka, originally from Zanzibar, Tanzania, now based in Michigan, is driven by an undeniable passion for dance. With Afrobeats at her core, Rose has embraced and continues to explore a wide range of dance styles, including Kizomba, Salsa, Bachata, Brazilian Zouk, and Swing. She has trained with renowned instructors worldwide and continually evolves as both a dancer and teacher.
Rose is an owner and Instructor at Detroit Dance Loft, where she cultivates a welcoming space for dancers of all levels. In addition, she serves as the Director of Karel Flores Detroit, leading her community with dedication and high-quality training. With several years of teaching experience, Rose is committed to guiding others on their dance journey while constantly refining her own skills.
