About this Event
The Rooted in Reading Book Festival is an exciting day just for kids! On Saturday, December 7th, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at the African American Research Library and Cultural Center, 2650 Sistrunk Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL, kids can dive into fun reading activities, meet local Black children’s authors, and take home a collection of diverse books to enjoy long after the event. This festival is all about bringing stories to life and sparking a love for reading!
For grades K-5 Only! Invitation only. All participants must submit a signed permission slip to the school coordinator.
Car Riders-Students must be picked promptly at 1pm from the library.
Bus Riders- Students must be picked up promptly at 1:15 pm from Sunland Park Elementary School.
