Join the Chatham Community Food Council for Rooted in Chatham: A Food Policy and Advocacy Event on Sun, Nov 9, 2pm-4:30pm at the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center (CCACC).
The afternoon will begin with a Food Policy 101 keynote presentation by Community Food Strategies, followed by a Q&A with the presenters and local organizations. The event will conclude with a networking hour with opportunities to connect with local organizations and write letters to your local representatives.
Whether you're already deeply involved in food advocacy or a curious resident looking for more ways to get involved, this event is a great opportunity to learn and connect with others who are addressing school nutrition, food assistance, farmland preservation, and food loss in Chatham County.
This event is FREE and open to the public. CCACC is an ADA-compliant building with wheelchair accessible parking, entrances, common spaces, walkways, restrooms, and seating. Pets are not allowed.
