"Rooted & Reaching" Art Exhibition
Exhibition and Opening Celebration is scheduled for Saturday, December 13th, Celebrating Local Partnerships and Community
Firefly Restaurant, a beloved local gathering spot known for its vibrant community atmosphere and support of local arts, is delighted to announce its next featured artist, Flame Bilyue, with the exhibition titled "Rooted & Reaching: Tree Spirits Art at Firefly."
The exhibition, which showcases a powerful collection of original mixed-media paintings from the artist's ongoing Tree Spirits and Dryad* series, will be on display from December 1, 2025, through January.
The public is invited to attend the opening celebration and artist reception on Saturday, December 13th, from, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Firefly Restaurant. The event will also serve as a celebration of the artist's birthday weekend.
A Celebration of Local Ties
"This exhibition is the result of a long-standing friendship and mutual support between Raven, my husband, myself (big fans) and Firefly's owners.
The unique venue, a local favorite for games, trivia, and karaoke, provides a dynamic backdrop for my expressive and spiritually resonant work.
I love the food and cherish the creative energy of this community hangout spot and always feel at home here.
Firefly is truly a community womb where people gather and connect. To display my 'Tree Spirits' here—pieces that explore growth, connection, and emotional depth—feels like a perfect, rooted partnership."
Guests attending the opening will have the unique opportunity to view new pieces alongside classic works, as well as purchase matted prints and the artist's new 2026 wall art calendars.
A Sweet Collaboration
The event highlights the synergistic nature of the local business community. Visitors are encouraged to stop next door at Cocoa and Spice, owned by the artist' s friend, Jennifer Mowad, to complete their afternoon with a curated selection of fine chocolates, creating an ideal art and culinary pairing.
The exhibition is free and open to the public during Firefly's regular business hours.
Guest are also welcome to order and enjoy the many delicious offerings the restaurant is famous for.
