 This workshop solves plant equipment problems as you learn facilitation skills for an effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Practice with our example problems as well as your equipment problems. At the end of the training, you will be able to:

  • Facilitate RCAs effectively using 2 pre-analysis tools and 8 RCA methods
  • Develop, select, and implement effective corrective actions

No software to learn – just simple, thorough, and effective.

 Participants will have an opportunity to practice on their own plant equipment. Bring any information you would like to utilize to the workshop.

 During this course you will learn to:

  • How to implement an effective RCA program
  • How to facilitate an RCA and lead an RCA team
  • The difference between a “fix” and a “root cause”
  • How to recognize when you have reached the root cause
  • How to use:
    • 2 Pre-analysis tools
    • 3 Tree-based methods, including 5 Why
    • 2 Time-based methods
    • 3 Transparency methods, including Fishbone, sFMEA, and FMECA
  • How to choose the best method and the best solutions
  • How to implement the solution(s)
