Roomful of Blues, the renowned horn-driven blues band, is releasing a new album titled Steppin' Out! on October 10th via Alligator Records. Roomful of Blues was formed in 1967 by a group of Rhode Island teenagers passionate about the blues, eventually adding a horn section and gaining national recognition. The band has recently announced new additions to their lineup, including DD Bastos as the new vocalist and Jeff Ceasrine on keyboards. With the addition of Bastos and Ceasrine, there has also been new additions to the Roomful horn section. Joining us now is Craig Thomas on Baritone and Tenor sax and Christopher Pratt on Trumpet.
Troy Mercy will open for Roomful and has been a guitarist with: Booker T. Jones, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Hubert Sumlin, Billy Boy Arnold, Louisiana Red, Pinetop Perkins, Calvin “Fuzz” Jones, Willie “Big Eyes” Smith and many more musicians. Troy will start at 7pm.
