Rooftop and Community Solar is Powering New York's Clean Energy Transition
As New York determines how to drive progress toward its ambitious clean energy mandates, rooftop and community solar can play a major role. Join us at nonprofit Solar One's headquarters and workforce training center in Long Island City, Queens for an exciting event focused on scaling up rooftop and community solar deployment in New York!
This event will features remarks from , , a presentation from regarding the organization's solar and workforce programs, and a briefing from and partners outlining the proposal to raise New York's distributed solar goal from 10 gigawatts by 2030 to 20 gigawatts by 2035.
The event program will run from 4-5PM followed by an onsite networking happy hour from 5-6PM. The networking happy hour will include optional facilitated conversations about NYC and NY State clean energy policy topics. Attendance is free, but this event includes a suggested donation of $75. All proceeds will support nonprofit Solar One's educational, workforce development and low-income solar programs.
