When you think about Transition House, the person that likely comes to your mind is Ronit Barkai, our Assistant Director, who has been with Transition House for 22+ years; and is ready to start her next chapter.
As we gather to celebrate Ronit's retirement, we reflect not only on the years of dedication and hard work, but also on the incredible legacy she is leaving behind. Ronit has been an integral part of our team, and her contributions have shaped the very foundation of Transition House.
Throughout her 22+ years of service, Ronit has consistently demonstrated her dedication to survivors of domestic violence. Her commitment to advocacy and centering the needs of survivors has inspired and influenced so many of us, and her impact will be felt for many years to come.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ronit's kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support has made her a mentor and friend to countless colleagues. Her legacy is not just one of professional success, but one of compassion and always keeping a steady beat, no matter how difficult the challenge.
As she steps into the next chapter of their life, we want to express our deepest gratitude for all that she has done. We are so fortunate to have had Ronit as a part of our team, and we wish her nothing but the best in her well-earned retirement.
