Ron Mohr and The Las Vegas Senior Shootout.
The Midwest version of this Senior Event will be, “Ron Mohr’s MVP Lanes Senior Classic.”
Location: MVP Lanes Ft Wayne Indiana June 20 to June 23, 2024
This nationally recognized tournament is open to all bowlers 50 years and over and attracts all levels of bowlers due to the many options available during the tournament.
Bowlers from all over the Midwest are expected to participate in this three-day tournament. Featuring three major events and at least $50,000 in prize money.
A little bit about Ron Mohr and MVP Lanes.
Ron started his career in bowling working at Wayne Recreation, now MVP Lanes.
In Ron’s youth his love for bowling started from working the counter and learning as much about bowling as he could, much like Mark Johnston, now owner of MVP Lanes working at Westwood lanes in his younger days.
Ron Mohr is on the USBC Board of directors and has many bowling accomplishments to his name.
To name a few, 13 PBA titles, PBA 50 Player of the year, Senior Team USA, USBC and PBA Hall of fame member.
MVP Lanes is the vision of Mark Johnston when seeing the need for a bowling center for bowlers was needed in the area. After a complete rebuild Mark and co-owner Austin "A.J." Brunner now have what Bowlers International Magazine calls “The Country Club of Bowling”.
It is Ron and Mark who wish to celebrate the senior bowler by offering this local and national star-studded event that is a proven winner for all participants.
