Zombies! Shakespeare! 80s Inspired Music!This new zombie rock musical is set in Verona, Pennsylvania. It fuses Shakespeare’s timeless tale of star-crossed lovers with the zombie lore of Pittsburgh’s own George Romero, drawing stylistic inspiration from cult favorites such as LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS.
The musical follows Romero, a regional guardsman and distant relative of the filmmaker, who meets zombie Juliet at a music festival called Deadstock on Friday the 13th in September 1985. What could possibly go wrong?
The show’s original score channels the sound of 1980s pop legends including Madonna, Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi, George Michael, Boy George, Jim Steinman and more.
Written by Broadway veterans Scott Logsdon and Aaron Gandy, this new musical serves as a timely reminder…love bites!
