This concert offers music of great Romantic composers, among them Antonín Dvořák, a Czech composer who helped American composers find the American sound, Argentine tango composer Astor Piazzolla, and one of the last of the great romantics, Sergei Rachmaninoff. Program:
- Astor Piazzolla, Invierno porteño from The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires (for violin, cello, and piano)
- Sergei Rachmaninoff, Sonata for Cello and Piano
- Antonín Dvořák, String Quintet No. 2 in G Major, Op. 77
Admission is $20 at the door (students and active-duty military free with ID)
