On the weekend of OCTOBER 3-5, 2025 a new edition of the ROMANIAN FESTIVAL will take place at our church property 9111 River Rd, Potomac, MD 20854.The entrance is free! Free will donations for the completion of the site work are encouraged and desired.
During this weekend, the experience of Romanian tradition and culture will be at its best! Hundreds of volunteers are eagerly waiting for you and will greet you with the traditional "Bine ati venit!/Welcome!" and “Pofta Buna!/Enjoy your meal!".
The Romanian culinary tradition will be at a high level as usual; your taste will be delighted by the mititei (romanian skinless sausages), lamb pastrami and the traditional Romanian “sarmale” (stuffed cabbage with different kind of meats), among others; Romanian drinks will also be available and the homemade pastries, prepared with a lot of love by our ladies, will crown your culinary experience. In parallel, the eyes will be delighted by the handicraft products present at the festival, by the beauty of the popular costumes displayed with much love by the festival guests. Hearing the folk music, will connect you with the millennial musical tradition of Romania. And, above all, this will be fulfilled in spiritual realms through the deeper understanding of Romanian Orthodox spirituality, which you are welcome to understand and embrace!
Therefore, we invite you to join us! Your presence will honor us and will bring to this edition of the Romanian Festival the uniqueness that only you, the supporters and guests of the Romanian festival, can give.

In weekend-ul Octombrie 3-5,2025 se va desfasura o noua editie a FESTIVALULUI ROMANESC ce va avea loc la proprietatea bisericii noastre 9111 River Rd, Potomac, MD 20854.
Intrarea este libera! Donatiile benevole pentru finalizarea parcarii si a sistemului de retenție a ploii de apa (SWM) a bisericii “Moldovita la Washington DC” sunt incurajate si dorite.
Pe parcursul acestui weekend, experimentarea traditiei si culturii romanesti va fi la maxim! Sute de voluntari va asteapta cu mult drag si va intampina cu traditionalul “Bine ati venit!” si “Pofta buna!”.
Traditia culinara romaneasca va fi ca de obicei la mare inaltime; gustul dumneavoastra se va bcura de mititeii si traditionalele sarmale romanesti (printre altele); bauturile romanesti vor fi si ele disponibile iar prajiturile pregatite cu multa dragoste va vor incununa experienta culinara. In paralel, ochii se vor bucura de produsele de artizanat prezente la festival, de frumusetea costumelor populare purtate cu mult drag de oaspetii si gazele festivalului, deopotriva. Auzul ne va lega si de traditia muzicala ale doinelor si invartitelor romanesti. Iar toate acestea se vor implini in sferele spirituale prin intelegerea mai profunda a spiritualitatii ortodoxe romanesti!
Asadar, va invitam sa fiti alaturi de noi! Prezenta dumneavoastra ne va bucura enorm de mult si va aduce si acestei editii a Festivalului Romanesc unicitatea pe care doar dumneavoastra, sprijitniorii si oaspetii festivalului romanesc o puteti darui.
