This Heritage Malta workshop, designed for children aged between 3 and 6, will explore the beauty of ancient Rome, where art and gastronomy come together in a symphony of visual and culinary splendour.
Taking place at the historic St Paul’s Catacombs in Rabat, on the 27th of March from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, this unique activity transports its participants into the world of the mighty ancient Roman Empire, firstly by exploring its iconic mosaic art. Through a hands-on experience during which they will create their very own spice paint and use ‘mosaic’ square sponges to print patterns, children will mirror the intricate techniques that have captivated eyes and hearts throughout history.
Following their artistic exploration, our young participants will experience an ancient Roman banquet themselves, a taste of the flavours and traditions of ancient feasts, allowing children to experience history in the most delicious way possible. It’s not only a chance to savour the past but also a wonderful opportunity for social interaction, providing a space for children to connect.
The ticket price is 10 euro, which includes the participation of an accompanying adult. This ensures a morning filled with creativity and learning as well as a unique opportunity to bond over the beauty of history.
