The Silver Lady, or Spirit of Ecstasy mascot, has been associated with Rolls-Royce motor cars since the early days. We will be hearing about the tragic love story of a couple, Lord Montague of Beaulieu and Eleanor Thornton who was the model for the winged figure that has adorned thousands of Rolls-Royce radiators.Presentation by author and historian Kevin Patience whose experiences of vintage Rolls-Royce motor cars developed this fascinating insight into a little-known aspect of the marque’s history.
